Bianco Fiore
(White Flower)
for two couples facing in a square (spaced out equally, each person a point of a diamond)
Reconstructed by Dafydd Cyhoeddwr
Music: Le Gratie d'Amore (1602), by the Ensemble La Folia
Musical note:  The music for this dance is interesting in two ways.  First, the written music contains three strains of melody, two of which are in galliard tempo, and one of which is in 4.  The third strain, in 4, fits the reoccuring "chorus" steps, which is the second point of interest - the music is played once through
for each of the four parts of the dance, with each strain being played twice per repetition.
Note: The A and B music below has 6 counts per measure, while the C music has 4.  Since the numbers by the steps indicates beats, I will counting by 6, dividing the steps into the music slightly differently than is usually done except in the chorus.

Repeat A music
12: The women circle the man on their left with four seguiti spezzati, starting left
12: then countercircle to the right with two seguiti ordinarii
B music
6: The men show off with:  two hops forward on the right, three "beats of the bell", and a cadenza right
6: then hop backwards onto both feet, stomp behind left, ripresa sottopiede right, two fioretti forward, passo forward
6: Beat/stomp forward and back, cadenza right, beat/stomp forward and back, take a passo backward
6: and then take two more, and rest (this "exchange" is supposed to take 21 beats over 4 measures)
Repeat B music
12: The women get lucky - they don't have to try the above.  Instead, they do one seguito ordinario forward and one ripresa flankingly backward to place (though it should actually take a few more than that to get there)
12: Then they countercircle left with two seguiti ordinarii
Chorus

12: Drop arms and countercircle left with two seguiti ordinarii
B music
6: Men show off again, but slowly this time, starting flankingly (slightly toward your partner, or just directly sideways) right:  saltino(hop) right in place with left foot up, passo grave left with right foot up, cadenza left, two beats each
6: Passo grave right without the left foot up - actually stomp the left with a meza riverenza (little incline) - then another passo grave forward left with the right foot up, then cadenza right.
6: Now repeat it flankingly left (to return to your place):  hop right with left foot up, passo grave left with right foot up, cadenza left
6: Passo grave right with left foot down and stomp it with meza riverenza, passo grave left with right up, cadenza right.
Repeat B music
6: The men did their galliard passage slowly so that the women could copy them now:  flankingly right, hop right, left up; passo grave left, right up; cadenza left
6: Passo grave right, left down, stomp it with meza riverenza; passo grave left, right up; cadenza right
6: And flankingly left: hop right, left up; passo grave left, right up; cadenza left
6: Passo grave right, left down, stomp it with meza riverenza; passo grave left, right up; cadenza right
Chorus
C music
4: Flankingly left, do three riprese sottopiede left and a cadenza left
4: then a trabuchetto right, and a seguito ordinario turning left

4: then a trabuchetto left, and a seguito ordinario turning right
Part 4
A music
24: Taking right hands with your partner, do a braid/hey as follows:  the steps used are four seguiti spezzati and then two seguiti ordinarii (6 beats each change); take hands as you change, the men going inside first, then outside (naturally, as the hands indicate).
Repeat A music
24: When you meet your partner again, turn to your opposite, take left hands, and do the braid around the other way with the same steps.
B music
6: Everyone dances together this time, doing the galliard steps slowly as last time:  saltino/hop right, left up; passo grave left without the hop; cadenza left
6: one passo grave right backward, with a stomp backward with the left to bring the feet together and switch your weight for; ripresa sottopiede right; cadenza right.  (All in 7 beats over 2 galliard measures, sort of)
12: We rest a bit after our exciting galliard by countercircling left with two seguiti spezzati left and right and a seguito ordinario left
Repeat B music
6: We repeat the above to the other side:  saltino/hop left, right up; passo grave right without the hop, cadenza right
6: one passo grave left backward, with a beat/stomp backward with left to bring the feet together; ripresa sottopiede left; cadenza left
12: Countercircle right with two seguiti spezzati and a seguito ordinario
Chorus
C music
4: Flankingly left, do three riprese sottopiede left and a cadenza left
